Brief History of Streams of Power Ministries

Streams of Power Ministries was established on the 5th of December 2005 as a non-denominational Pentecostal ministry.
The ministry is under the Pastorate of Senior Pastor Patrick West and Prophetess Margaret West. Pastor Patrick West served as an officer in the Guyana Defence Force and retired on the 4th of March 2021 as the 10th Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force at the rank of Brigadier. From 2005 to 2021, he worked in his secular and sacred callings. Since his retirement in 2021, he has remained only in his sacred calling. His wife, Prophetess Margaret West, is a graduate teacher who works in the Ministry of Education and will retire in 2025.

The ministry of both Pastors was developed at the Kitty Assemblies of God, New Life Ministries and the Healing Centre Ministries International Inc. While at New Life Ministries, they grew in their knowledge of the prophetic. Pastor Patrick West was one of the three directors and an associate pastor at Healing Centre Ministries.
This is the second church established by Pastor West and his wife. When he was the Evangelist and Assistant Director of Missions for Kitty Assembly of God, he established his first church in South Sophia, now named RISE Assembly of God in E Field, South Sophia. Before that, it was called Ebenezer Assembly of God. He, his wife, and some persons from that church, including Pastor Collins, who is with us, worked to evangelise the community and build a building for fellowship.

This ministry is a Prophetic Deliverance Ministry which started in 2005 at Lot 6 West Ruimveldt Industrial Site Georgetown. The ministry remained at that location until August of 2012. This is because, in 2012, the ministry purchased its building at 2885 Well Road North Ruimveldt. In 2017, we reconstructed a new building for worship, fellowship and as a command centre for future aggressive operations to build the body of Christ.

The active departments in the church are Sunday School, media, Orientation Classes for water baptism, Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Watchmen group and evangelism.
The church has a website and social media accounts on Facebook, X formerly known as Twitter and YouTube. Some are not as active as they should be.
Regarding conferences to impact the body of Christ, we have an annual conference from the Women's Department of the ministry titled Women of Worth and Purpose (WOWAP). This is in its 5th year as we unite women across the body of Christ to understand their roles and impact their worlds significantly with their worth and purpose. Besides this, we oversee a non-profit NGO called Dorcas Mending Hearts Ministries; this group reaches out to battered women to bring healing and empowerment.

Our men are regular visitors to the GPHC to visit and pray with men who have medical issues.
This year's focus, besides extensive prayer, was the expansion of the ministry's evangelistic outreach through training and development and open-air services. These were done east of the church in the North Ruimveldt area.

We continue to work the grace of God in this ministry as we remain submissive to His will, maintaining the standards of righteousness required by His Word and allowing the Kingdom of God to be demonstrated in all that we do.
